Logistics in fisheries and the aquaculture industry: knowledge and research needs - Recommendations from the Working Group.

This report documents the work carried out by a Working Group established by the Norwegian Fishery and Aquaculture Industry Research Fund (FHF), concerning current knowledge and future research needs within logistics in the fisheries and the aquaculture industry. Several challenges following from industry structure and market growth are highlighted, underscoring the need for further economic and technical development of the logistics systems in order to maintain and develop the competitiveness of Norwegian fisheries and fish farming. The Working Group recommends the FHF to allocate funds to a research program within this field.
