We examine how electric vehicle (EV) drivers in the Greater Oslo area are adapting to the closure of public transport lanes for EVs starting May 6, 2024. We use detailed travel data collected through the “Spor” app. The sample is respondents that drive cars at least two business days per week. Our analysis compares individual travel patterns before and after the lane closures. Key findings include: 1. A 2 percentage-point reduction in car share, which means that most kilometer travelled are still done by car (61 %). 2. Decreased EV driving during rush hours on the short term. 3. A decline in EV driving on roads with public transport lanes. Whether this is due to the closure of the public transport area or due to seasonal effects and other factors cannot be determined with these data. 4. The survey shows that many EV drivers experience more congestion, but few say they have changed their travel habits.
