Hallingdal has a lot of traffic where the climate imprint can to a small extent be affected by local authorities other than facilitating charging, and in this way support the transition to electric cars. This applies to traffic through the valley and traffic to and from cabins. This traffic accounts for most of the traffic. Internal traffic constitutes many more trips, but since these are shorter, internal traffic will form a smaller part of the total. To reduce this, changes in area structure is the key to minimizing the required travel distance by car through densification. Proper land use also facilitates other measures that can reduce the climate impact during transport.
