The opening of the Follobanen has led to a further increase in the use of park-and-ride facilities on Østfoldbanen in 2024, compared to both the period before the opening and the first measurement after the opening in 2023. The use of park-and-ride facilities has stabilized on the eastern line through Indre Østfold, where capacity is highly utilized at all stations. On the western line towards Moss, there is continued growth in the number of park-and-ride users. The park-and-ride facility at Ski station continues to attract users from the entire region. Some stations, such as Ås, Sonsveien, Kambo, and Spydeberg, seem to be gaining greater regional importance, while stations like Vestby and Mysen are increasingly used by the local population.
