The report presents analyses of the effects of reducing speed in Trondheimsveien between Grorud center and Sinsenkrysset from 70 to 50 km/h, and of reducing the capacity from four to two lanes. The analyses have been carried out as a systematic planning analysis, where expected effects have been discussed in the light of documented experiences with similar measures in other and comparable parts of the road system. It concludes that reduced speed, which increases the driving time by 2,2 minutes, will result in no or marginal changes in traffic volumes on other local roads. Furthermore, that capacity reduction from four to two fields cannot be expected to result in significantly increased delays in Trondheimsveien, and thus no significant changes in travel behavior. If, nevertheless, increased delays occur that result in adaptations, previous experiences indicate that these mainly concern to choosing other main road routes and choosing other means of transport.
