An integrated study of transport and land use in city areas - An integrated transport and land use model - TRAM

We have defined a spatial general equilibrium model for integrated land use and transport studies. TRAM focuses on households demand for residential land, firms demand for production sites and household demand for work travel. Land use patterns depend on the competition between residential and production activity. When deciding where to live, and where to work, households consider transport cost and modes of transport. The firms makes spatial decisions based on cost and accessibility to labour and land.
