A review of studies to quantify the cost of logistics

This report is a literature review of available Norwegian and international studies on the size of the logistics cost. The review shows that surveys provide a good basis for studying the logistics cost of a business, region or industry. But that there are major challenges concerned with the response rate of the survey. The calculation of the logistics cost based on available statistics provide a good tool for studying the cost in a macro perspective, and are well suited for forming time series.
