Electric cars will probably be most suitable as small vehicles, used on relatively short distances. The problem with battery capacity and cost has to undergo a major breakthrough to reach a large market share. In the period from 2015-2025 plug-in hybrids will probably be competitive, and fuel-cell cars can also be a more relevant alternative than today.
